Spend your Summer with Us
Eek: Spring is around the corner and you have no idea what to do with your kids this summer holiday.
You want them to be occupied.
You want them to explore.
You want them to make friends.
You want them to have the ultimate summer fun.
Then they’re going to have an unforgettable time at the JDN Center for Children Summer Camp program!
We are back at it again for our summer camp program! We welcome any child ages 6-12. Based out of our Perth, Ontario headquarters, we’ll host weekly camp sessions running from July 3 to August 24.
While we specialize working with children diagnosed with ADHD, LD, Asperger Syndrome and high-functioning ASD, this summer camp is an integrated summer program for any child!
We want to help your child grow this summer. Whether it’s increasing their self-esteem or providing positive peer relationships, our mission is to create a space where our campers feel like they belong.
Our summer program is designed to help our campers build self-confidence and increase their involvement within our community. We’ll do that with interactive activities that’ll have them happy, exhausted and ready to hit the hay each night!
What to Expect:
Campers can expect days full of fun activities that include community outings, guest appearances and wiggle room for flexibility. There will always be an alternate activity if your camper is not enjoying the featured activity. With our small camper to staff ratio we are able to nurture the needs of our campers while encouraging team building and peer inclusiveness.

What Parents Have to Say
“Simon has talked non-stop about camp and this is the first camp (and he has been in a few) where he has been happy and excited, he says everyone is like him and no one makes fun of him being a little different. Thank you for giving our son this experience. It means the world to him and us.” Stacey B (Mom of Simon)
“We were so happy that our son enjoyed his time at the JDN day camp. We have struggled to find programs that fit his needs. The small group aspect and trained staff made a big difference in being able to manage his behaviour. They were flexible in adapting programming to suit his areas of interest and adapted their plans to accommodate him. He came home excited to tell us that he was allowed to be the referee in some of the games rather than playing. This kept him involved in the activity without the frustration that he feels with winning or losing. We look forward to sending our son to JDN Day Camp next summer and would recommend it to others”. Arlene F (Mom of Duncan)
“My kids loved going to day camp at the JDN Center for Children. They came home everyday recreating and re-inventing all the things they learned at Camp. There was lots of arts and crafts and plenty of outdoor activities to keep them busy. They loved their “camp teacher”, and Amanda is amazing! They can’t wait to go back next year!” Moranda J (Mom of Brock & Maya)
Camp Pick-Up and Drop-off Times
Daily programming runs from 9:00am-4:00pm. With drop off starting at 8:30 am and pick up starting at 4:00 pm. Extended care is available from 7:30am-8:30am and 4:30-5:30pm for a $10 per child/day fee. If you need extended care, simply indicate on your registration form.
Below is a sampling of the kind of activities we’ll be doing during camp:
During our sports week(s) campers will have the opportunity to experience and play a variety of sports. Both team sports and those that require more individual skill. All team/group sports are designed to foster team building and sportsmanship.
Throughout all of our themed weeks, Campers will be taught mindfulness. This essential skill can be used in many different settings (school, home & at camp). Mindfulness helps individuals connect with their inner-self and develop self-control.
This week campers will be turned into mad scientists. Learning about and making their own ecosystems. The week will be full of wacky experiments fostering team and individual work.
Under the Sea
Don’t forget a bathing suit or a change of clothes this week! During our water-themed week, campers will be involved in TONNES of water games! We will have water balloon fights, complete obstacle courses, and even take a trip to the Perth pool
